Cindy Conley Westhoff is going to kill me. At the very least, I might need a place to sleep tonight. Heres the deal. Today, at around noon, the superintendent of a local school district called me and said that the superintendents of Kent County were considering closing school early, but they wanted to hear the opinion of the Delaware DOT, about whether it would be good to have the buses on the roads at about noon, or would the roads be better at 3 p.m., the time when school is normally dismissed. So I checked with our people, and they said the snow was ending, and by 3 p.m., they would have the roads in better shape than they were at noon. So, I told the superintendent. Cindy teaches school in that county. They were not let out early today. She always jokes that its my fault when they have school because the roads are in good shape. This time, it was actually my fault. In about an hour, I pick up her and Delaney at school. Wish me luck, or better yet, prepare your couch.
