Cindy & I do genealogy for both sides of our family and we are - TopicsExpress

Cindy & I do genealogy for both sides of our family and we are both Reams. We had an awesome opportunity to fill in some of the gaps in our genealogy chart by visiting Reamstown (founded by our ancestors from Leimen, Germany). Here are a few of the headstones we found at the Ream-Rettig Cemetery. This is simply amazing to us! Cin & I have a plan to add a new headstone in this cemetery for our Ream ancestors whose stones are no longer readable...and there are quite a few since they are from the 1600s thru 1800s. We think it would be awesome to hold a Ream family reunion there in Reamstown. The last one was about three years ago, I believe our cousin, Beth McCollum, said. Beth is the caretaker for the Ream-Rettig Cemetery and the one who is a wealth of information on the Reams since she is a Ream. :) Ahhh, another cousin! Cute story about Beth & her husband, whose last name is Lescher. They are the first Lescher-Ream marriage in that area...the Leschers & Reams didnt get along well for something like 400 years; apparently the families didnt much like each other because the Reams had all the land, but the Leschers are the ones who owned many of the businesses in town. Our sincere thanks to our cousin, Beth, who told us many stories of the Ream Family and provided us with about 100 times more documented history on the Reams than Cindy & I had put together!
