Cinema of Resistance Hyderabad Chapter screened Iron is Hot, directed by Biju Toppo and Meghnath. The screening was followed by a discussion and interactive session with Prof. G. Vijay. This screening successfully generated a lot of queries and curiosity among the audience regarding the issues of mining and resultant air, water and soil pollution. The discussion attempted to bring forth these aspects that are rampantly practiced in the mineral-rich forest areas of India causing severe destruction of forest reserve and displacing millions of tribal inhabitants of the land. The health issues that plague the inhabitants due to this predatory tendencies of the big corporation houses were also put to focus through the discussion.
