Cisco Engineer Dyntek - Plainfield, NJ DynTek Services is currently looking for several Network Engineers to join our Cisco Practice. The position would be providing support to our clients within the Northern/Central NJ area. The Senior Engineer has 4-6 years experience as an individual contributor, responsible for delivering expert service and solutions to clients. The position must maintain a continuing commitment to develop core technology and consulting skills to become proficient with one or more relevant technologies, as well as participate on project teams that maintain Customer Satisfaction Excellence (CSAT). Core focus is implementing Cisco solutions mostly, but limited to, the collaboration architecture. The position requires a seasoned individual to use skills and methodology to deliver advanced network infrastructure solutions such as virtual data center architecture, routing & switching, and Cisco VoIP. In addition to practical hands-on skill sets, written and oral skills are important to success. Candidates will apply troubleshooting methods and the ability to collect, analyze, and correlate events at each level of the OSI model. Other key characteristics of a qualified candidate include organization, time management, and ability to individually solve problems proactively and seek help from other team members when necessary. Primary Accountabilities: The Senior Engineer is responsible for general project activities and typically works on complex problems of diverse scope and complexity. The qualified candidate uses experience to predict project results within broadly defined practices to obtain results. The primary skills, duties, and technologies for this position include but are not limited to: Develop solid working relationships with DynTek, vendor, and client team members. 1. Execute on written project deliverables with little direction from practice and project management. 2. Participate in weekly and monthly team events and practice meetings. 3. Further develop new technical skills by proactively seeking to expand knowledge and skills through use of books, manuals, and other materials and vendor certification exams. 4. Assists with coaching/mentoring of junior staff. 5. Professional conduct/presence at client at all times. 6. Demonstrate solid understanding of service offerings and ability to communicate value to clients. Typical project roles would include: 1. Technical team lead 2. Architecture and design collaboration 3. Any consultant duties as assigned Qualifications: 7. The Senior Engineer must have excellent oral and written communication skills. 8. Proven implementation and administration of Cisco Unified Call Manager version 7.x or 8.x, Unity Connection, Presence/Jabber, IP Phone and voice gateway deployment. 9. Proven experience in TCP/IP fundamentals, Cisco IOS, general network troubleshooting and expertise in at least two of the following: 1. Voice and unified communications within the Cisco or Microsoft VoIP model Data Center switching, virtualization and servers, specifically Cisco UCS Advanced routing and switching protocols for LAN and WAN application 4. Cisco Certification preferred in CCNP, CCDP, CCVP, CCSP or CCIE 5.
