Citizens of Florence Colorado MAJORITY does not rule! Although 51% of Florence voters VOTED in FAVOR of Amendment 64, Florence City Council passed a measure to Opt Out of ALL marijuana establishments by a 4 to 3 vote. Mel Edwards, Tony Martinez, Svetlana Piltingsrud and Paul Villagrana voted in favor of disregarding voters choice and in favor of a full moratorium of ANY marijuana establishment, as defined by State code. Two of the four council people took their own sampling vote recently, instead of upholding the official election count. Mel Edwards did not respond to my email to discuss the issue. I was not able to make contact with Tony Martinez. Mayor Ore, Councilwoman Charlette Henager and Councilman Larry Baker were the 3 that voted against the moratorium. Is there not ONE governmental entity that will do their job?! Very discouraged by the total lack of regard for an official election,
