Citizens of the City of Moriarty This past September the City of Moriarty Fire Department had an Insurance Services Office (ISO) Public Protection Classification Survey performed. Previously the City of Moriarty had Protection Classification of 6/9x. The City of Moriarty is proud to report that as of November 24, 2014 the Public Protection Classification is a 4/4x. This is a great thing for the City of Moriarty and its residents! ISO PPC ratings affect many areas of our community. One these is the PPC rating plays an important role in the underwriting process at insurance companies. In fact most U.S. insurers use PPC information as part of their decision-making when deciding what business to write, coverages to offer or prices to charge for personal or commercial property insurance. What this means to you is the lowering of our PPC rating to a 4/4x may lead to lower premiums for your insurance coverage for you residential or commercial property. Contact your insurance provider and notify them of the PPC rating change from a 6/9x to 4/4x. Letters will be available at City Hall verifying this classification change for you to provide to your insurance agency.
