City Farmhouse Pop-up Show - Just past the rusting iron gates - TopicsExpress

City Farmhouse Pop-up Show - Just past the rusting iron gates enveloped with nature’s growth, lies a path that leads over a stone bridge to a mansion that is old and classical. It has sat quietly in its place un-disturbed, since its caretaker left it in 2002. Just years before, it had welcomed some of country music’s most famous people, Dolly Pardon, Porter Wagoner, and George Jones just to name a few. Past its doors was the sound of music with a padded music room that held the baby grand, and at its helm sat one of country music’s most famous publishers, Buddy Killen. It’s only neighbors were the occasional deer that roamed across the 200 acre lawn, and the bullfrogs which sang in unison along the slopping banks of the land along the secluded lake. In the rear, a formal garden unveiled the centerpiece; a monumental fountain of cast iron towering with cascading waters to the earth below. The Alice in Wonderland path along the guest entrance to the garden was magical; covered with a canopy of nature’s landscaping so lush that it allowed only a peek of the sun. Today it lies in wait to the “love” that will transform it – to the bright and eager eyes who will travel from miles and miles, and over land and sea to see it. Laughter and smiles will once again fill the land and tales will be told of it. Every turn will hold something , “Curiouser and curiouser… (Lewis Carroll), and all will be surprised in that moment! “Either it brings tears to their eyes, or else – “ “Or else what?” said Alice, for the Knight had made a sudden pause. “Or else it doesn’t, you know. (Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland) *NOTE* We weren’t able to take photos of the mansion today as plans of its grand rebirth are already underway. Enjoy just for the moment the photos of the grounds which will be the location of the vendor tents. Reach into your creative mind, and imagine the lush landscape and garden in all its splendor in the fall. (photos of the mansion coming soon) And new photos of the land and garden once the warmer weather brings us a little green.
