City Leadership [is] exploring actions..including: (1) commitment to..increase [the] number of African-American applicants to the law enforcement academy, (2) to develop programs and incentives to encourage residency of police officers in the City of Ferguson, (3) to raise funds and secure dash and vest cams, (4) to expand and enhance the school resource officer program Definitely a step in the right direction (though demilitarization is conspicuously missing)...but I hope people dont cool down just because of this; there are no details or timetable in their statement. I encourage everyone to keep this energy up. Dont let them drag these changes out, or worse: they let it go because we stop talking about it.
