City Montgomeryville State Pennsylvania [PA] Job Title Warehouse Shipper Non-Benefited Job ID SA-2014-52 Position Summary Purpose: To load and unload materials in the Montgomeryville (North Wales) Sales Center. Responsibilities Essential Functions: • Read sales orders, shipping orders, or follow verbal instructions. • Using proper lifting techniques, load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves. • Record shipping discrepancies. • Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated area, using HAND TRUCK or electric jack. • Occasionally operate industrial truck or ELECTRIC HOIST to assist in loading or moving materials and products. • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers. • Maintain and compiles records as required. • Assemble sales racks and displays. • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse. Non-Essential Functions: • Other duties as assigned Technical Skills: • Ability to count and perform simple math Analytical Skills: • Ability to verify shipping discrepancies Control Skills: • Work without direct supervision Communication Skills: • Must be able to read and write English proficiently Physical Requirements: • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force Experience/Qualifications Education & Experience: • High SCHOOL DEGREE or equivalent required.
