City issues boil water notice The city of Meridian has issued a precautionary boil water notice due to loss of pressure. The area effected is from 49th Ave West to Okatibbee Creek and from 20th Street Extension South to Keyfield. A line failure occurred on Nov. 6. Customers are advised to boil their drinking water vigorously for at least 1 minute. This issue should be cleared up in a few days and a public service announcement will be made when samples are clear, according to a city press release.
