City of Brandon Media Release, July 3rd, 2014 Volunteers Required for Sandbagging on Friday, July 4, 2014 The City of Brandon is requesting approximately 50 volunteers to provide assistance with sandbagging at a residential property on Rosser Avenue East, east of the Green Spot, beginning at 9:30am on Friday, July 4th. The Green Spot is permitting volunteers to use the most easterly portion of their parking lot, closest to the nursery. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE MAIN CUSTOMER PARKING AREA. Vehicles can also park on the grassed area on the side of the road. Volunteers are requested to wear appropriate clothing consisting of: long sleeved shirts; long legged pants; work boots or appropriate water resistant footwear; and gloves.
