City of Dreams Manila Now Open Casino Hotels Roxas Boulevard. City of Dreams Manila is a 1.13-billion lavish integrated resort & casino featuring a dazzling array of entertainment & attractions, 3 award-winning hotels and exquisite dining outlets by Premium Leisure Corp. owned by Henry Sy and his SM Group and will be operated by Macaus Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd. It was opened on December 14, 2014 at 3:00PM. Initially open to the public are the gaming areas, CenterPlay, a live performance lounge inside the casino, Nobu restaurant and tea lounge, Hyatt Hotel, and select food and beverage and retail establishments. City of Dreams was designed after the City of Dreams Macau, the flagship project of Melco Crown Entertainment a top Macau casino operator. There are 6 hotel towers, including the 260 room Crown Towers hotel, the 321 room Nobu Hotel Manila and Hyatt Hotel, restaurants, bars, gaming facilities, and a multi-level car park. It will also have 3 distinct entertainment venues, including Manila’s first family entertainment center; a live performance central lounge inside the casino and 2 night clubs Pangea and Chaos by “International King of Clubs” Michael Van Cleef Ault situated at the iconic fortune egg, a dome-like structure serving as a centerpiece of the whole complex. The complex sits on a 6.2-hectare site at the gateway to Entertainment City. There will be 1,680 slot machines, 365 gaming tables, and 1,680 electronic table games upon opening. Entertainment City is a 120-hectare development of PAGCOR and will compete with Las Vegas, Macau, and Singapore. Manila Bay Resorts, owned by Japanese billionaire Kazuo Okada, is expected to open in late 2015 while Bayshore City Resorts World, a venture between Filipino billionaire Andrew Tan and Malaysia’s Genting Group, will open in the fourth quarter of 2018, they announced separately last week.
