City of Lancaster Welcomes New Collection of Fall Classes The City of Lancaster is offering an exciting fall collection of classes. In addition to bringing back some of last year’s most popular classes, the City has developed several new classes for Antelope Valley residents to enjoy, many of which will be held at the newly reopened Cedar Center for the Arts. These offerings have been specifically chosen for their ability to provide residents with the opportunity to take deeper root in the community, while cultivating a new talent or skill. Back by popular demand, Orlando Baeza, one of the leading artists for the Emmy® Award-winning series The Simpsons!, returns with his animation classes. Also returning are: chess tournaments, which will be held on the second and fourth Saturday in October; Beer 101; and the Food Preservation Series with some brand new options. The Cedar Center for the Arts will be teaming up with businesses and instructors around the Antelope Valley to host several new classes, including: introductory music classes for keyboard, guitar and drums; creative classes such as poetry and Shakespeare; as well as academic classes for algebra, reading, robotics and boat engine maintenance. The City’s wide array of fall courses are affordably priced, conveniently located and geared toward a variety of age groups and interests. A complete list of classes can be found in the City’s Outlook magazine and on the City’s recreation page, cityoflancasterca.org/recreation. Registration for classes is fast and convenient. To register online from the comfort of your home, visit cityoflancasterca.org/recreation. Request a user name and PIN code as prompted, and you will be on your way to loads of fall fun. Phone, fax and walk-in registrations are also welcome.
