City of Taylor Threatens Residents Affected by Flood – Do NOT Talk About City Problems on Facebook! Under the guise of a “potential” free pick-up of flood damaged items for residents, came the following word of caution from the City of Taylor, as posted on the city webpage: “Do not use Facebook or other online media to relay your problem” Instead, they want all concerns to be called into the Call Center only! In case you did not know, the Call Center tracks all calls and creates a database of those who contact it. So instead of just helping residents, the city wants your personal info for future political uses. Kinda sad…. But fortunately, the First Amendment still applies so you can post your problems on Facebook if you like, and there is nothing the City of Taylor can do about it. (Unless, of course, the mayor thinks he can suspend the Constitution due to some flooding.) By the way, Dearborn just announced free pick-up of flood damaged items will be done next week as part of regular trash collection, NO phone call needed!
