Civic Engagement Programs will host a weeklong series of events, known as Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, November 18-22, 2013. Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week brings greater attention to the difficulties that the homeless and hungry face on a daily basis. This week of programs helps to also promote national and international endeavors to end hunger and homelessness. All activities are interactive and programs support a variety of local and international non-profit organizations. Highlighted events include: Oxfam Hunger Banquet (Nov. 19), canned-food drive (weeklong), meal packaging event benefitting Stop Hunger Now! (Nov. 20), and various volunteer opportunities.
