Civil Design Office Leader, Vietnam My client is amongst the three largest suppliers of equipment and plants to the metal industry, worldwide. They design and manufacture machinery and plants for the steel industry. We are looking for qualified candidates for below: CIVIL DESIGN OFFICE LEADER To be based in Vietnam Area of Responsibilities: • Lead a group of structural designers and draftsmen in the Civil Design Office; plan and direct all activities of the group regarding Reinforced Concrete Structural Design in General, Deep Foundation Design, Steel building footings, Tanks, Reinforced concrete buildings, Infrastructures, Technological foundations of machines of Industrial Plants. • Planning of office resources and job/activities assignments • Provide guidelines, solutions and technical support to structural designers and draftsmen, by coaching and training them in order to achieve quality documentation as required. • Develop/Check/Approval/Review of detail design of structural elements, geotechnical issues, Hydraulic networks (sewerage, drainage, etc.) and infrastructures together with structural designers. • Develop and use of calculation tools (spreadsheets, etc.) • Set-up the procedures and information flow for the development of formwork/reinforcement/architectural drawings, together with the draftsmen. • Follow up the preparation of drawings specifications, related documentation, translation, etc. necessary to perform effectively a good quality engineering design drawings. • Guaranty that good quality of design calculations and drawings is achieved and time schedule is respected. • Direct/supervise the submission of detail design documentation to Head Quarters • Coordinate with HQ Project Engineer for technical support, technical clarifications and job planning. Requirements: • Structural Civil Engineer Degree of Building and Industrial Field • At least 5 year experience in Reinforced concrete structural design (building footings, technological foundations, tanks, vibrating machines foundations, sylos, reinforced concrete buildings and cabins, etc. ) geotechnical design (piles, foundations, secant piles, sheet piles, filtration, buoyancy, etc.), drainage/sewerage network design and infrastructures • Good knowledge of the design standard: ACI 318, BS 8110, Eurocodes, ASTM, AISC, AISI. • Good command of English, both written and spoken • Strong communication skills, management & leadership skills • Computer skills: AutoCAD, MS Office/Primavera for planning, SAP2000 NL for the Structural modelling and other computer programs to support structural design. • Able to implement Macro in Excel How to apply: Please send Your latest CV & other related documents (Scan of your University degree & other certificates) to melissa.blake@globalengineeringrecruitment
