Civilian, Police Officer and Firefighters to be Honored for Lifesaving Efforts A CCISD Middle School student, a police officer and several firefighters and paramedics will receive lifesaving awards from the Corpus Christi Fire Department during a ceremony on Tuesday, May 20th at 4:00 p.m. at the Corpus Christi Fire Department Headquarters located at 2406 Leopard Street. The heroic efforts took place in April during two different emergency incidents. Here’s a list of the award recipients: · Life Saving Awards: Fire Captain Michael Lauer and Firefighter Paramedic Elizabeth Arredondo; · Letter of Appreciation: Corpus Christi Police Officer Lieutenant Tom Nichols; · Meritorious Unit Award: Engine 4 (A- Shift) Crew, Fire Captain Mike Lauer, Firefighter II Engineer Kerry (K.T.) Goodman, Firefighter I Paramedic Elizabeth Arredondo; · Meritorious Unit Award: Engine 13 (A-Shift) Crew, Fire Captain Arnold Atkinson, Firefighter II Engineer Richard Lewis, Firefighter I Paramedic Roel Alaniz, and Firefighter I Paramedic Audrey Alvarez; · Citizens Certificate of Merit- Miracle Mauk.
