Claire is still doing OK. Her stats are all back to baseline and she is stable/no fever. She is still on oxygen. Last night her labs came back low for hemoglobin and hematocrit; so they gave her some blood. She did fine with that. They put a picc line today to be able to give meds and take blood and not have to stick her so many times. A respiratory test showed an adenovirus (cold). They still have not found a source for the staph infection. They will be doing a ct scan of her heart and ultrasound of her liver and kidneys to see if anything abnormal shows there. They dont have enough info to determine the best course of action (which could include surgery). They are happy she is stable so they can thoughtfully consider how best to treat her.
