Clara S. 16 gave a superb demonstration in housemeeting today of the ethical dilemma as used in public speaking competitions. The dilemma presented to her was: You are boating out in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly, two heretofore undiscovered Shakespeare manuscripts come floating by. You successfully grab them, only to have them swept from your grasp and taken by the current. Just then, you notice an old woman who is clearly on the verge of drowning. What do you do? (Well give you her analysis later on in case any of you want to weigh in first!)
