Clarence Edward “Clem” Maddox, age 81, of Jackson, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Dekalb Medical Center in Decatur. Clem was born August 14, 1931 in Conyers, GA to the late Clarence Earl Maddox and the late Carrie Lee Bennett Maddox. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Clem was General Manager of Guardian Chemical Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War. Mr. Maddox is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Woodall Maddox, of Jackson; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn Wiese and John Campbell, of Sawanee, GA, and Leigh and Mark F. Bradley, of Marietta; grandchildren, Jessica Houston, Carrie Fradenburg, Addison Wiese, Evan Bradley, and Macee Wiese; great-grandchildren, Bailey Houston, Isabella Houston, Ansley Houston, Alison Houston, and Sophia Howard; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Clem Maddox will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Reverend Lane Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church, Live the Vision, 151 Macedonia Church Road, Jackson, GA 30233 in memory of Mr. Maddox.
