Clarksville TN! Meet Starr! This is a courtesy post for our local Montgomery County Animal Control & Adoption Service. Starr was a very sad case when she was surrendered by her owners. She is a six year old Doberman/Coonhound mix and was is very poor shape other than the fact that she was fed daily. For over a week volunteers and staff were trying to get her out of her kennel but she would bark and wanted nothing to do with us. It was very hard to let her stay in the kennel and not take her outside to lay in the sunshine every day but we waited and waited. Then one day last week she did a 180 and allowed the director of WHE to pet her along with the dedicated volunteers and staff. She now whines to go outside and even let a volunteer clip her nails that were on the verge of curling into her paws. She is great with other dogs and is finally ready for a home where she can just sleep and lay in the sun. Starr is not a dog who wants for much other than a warm bed and some love. Please help find her a forever home! Clarksville, TN Animal Control (931) 648-5750. Hours: Mon - Tue:10:00 am-3:00 pm, Wed closed, Thu:10:00 am-7:00 pm, Fri - Sat:10:00 am-3:00 pm, Sun closed.
