Clash of the titan in Iri-ji Mbaise as Ihedioha takes on Okorocha with massive and intimidating support to the Deputy Speaker from Mbaise people. Todays Iri -ji Mbaise festival will remain evergreen in the minds of so many people for obvious reasons. Firstly, the Deputy speaker Rt Hon. Emeka Ihedioha stormed the venue and was recieved by an overwelming team of cheering supporters. The people demonstrated their love and solidarity to their own who they said has made them proud. The event which was moving on peacefully became violent when the governor arrived with some hired thugs to disrupt the occasion. They people were highly annoyed and showed their anger on the governor Rochas Okorocha who they said have not visited Mbaise for the first time nor attended Iri-ji since he became governor. The people of Mbaise made it known clearly to the governor that he has not done anything for them. In an attempt to refute the peoples allegations, Okorocha said that he performed the foundation laying ceremony of Imo State University Mbaise campus yesterday. The crowd became more annoyed, they booed him and switched off the microphone. The governor who could not withstand the heat and humiliation left the occasion before the representative of Mr President delivered his Excellencies address More details on the event coming later.
