Class 3A Colorado 7 Preview By Kerry Sherman A huge clash looms on the horizon in the Colorado 7, as Fort Morgan and Lutheran meet next week, but first, both must get through this week. Lutheran has the tougher task, on paper, as the Lions visit Elizabeth. The Cards have been the bully on the block in the league for some time and after last weeks 28-0 win over Englewood, they hold a share of the league league heading into Fridays game. Lutheran picked up its first win as a member of the league last week, shutting out Fort Lupton on the road, 55-0. Fort Morgan has thrown three straight shut-outs, outscoring the opposition 158-0 along the way. The latest squad to taste futility against the Mustangs was Skyview, who fell 54-0 last week. The Mustangs host Weld Central on Friday and could make it four straight goose eggs, as the Rebels scored their first points of the season last week in a 25-8 loss to Vista PEAK. Englewood and Fort Lupton meet on Friday, with both teams looking for their first league win of the season. Neither team got on the scoreboard last week, and Fort Lupton has only scored six points this season. The Pirates have posted 42 points in four games. Vista PEAK made it two straight in the win column, defeating Skyview 46-16 on Thursday night. The Bison are starting to show some signs of why they opened the season in the top-ten, but it has come against team that are a combined 0-9.
