Class Prophecy (Tugbok National High School- Batch 2010) After my exhausting profession of being a manager of the most popular Canadian Artist this Century Justin Drew Beiber, and at the same time one of the most respected writers, I have decided to take a deep rest at my condo because of unstoppable offers and restless interviews. I was lonely, dependent, and melancholic over days. I was alone in my condominium. “Kring, kring, kring”, the noise interrupted me from my mood and I answered the call. I was surprised when I found out that Tugbok National High School Administration called for the Alumni Batch 2009-2010 for the upcoming concert. It relieved my loneliness and tiredness because of the good news. I’m excited. I stopped for a minute and it seems that I am at the shocking state. It brought me back to the past. It’s been long years when I remember the happiest time. The next day, I prepared my passport and airplane ticket for the flight way back to Manila. I already packed all my things up. I went to the airport, excited and overwhelmed. As I got inside the plane, I took a sit. Afterwards, a familiar voice interrupted me. She’s Mieky Jane Ruba, a senior stewardess and also one of my batchmates in high school. We had a short conversation about the upcoming concert. She was excited too. After those stopover and several hours of waiting, at last the plane landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airpot. Then, I checked-in in a popular hotel in Manila, the newest huge hotel, resort, and casino owned by one of my classmates, Bonifacio Lastra. The next day the long wait is over. And I felt nervous when I entered the Araneta Coliseum; it is now March 28, 2025. Fifteen years after high school graduation. The whole batch attended this spectacular event. This batch has proven that a time does not promise constancy between people but it will never change the seasons shared by these genuine individuals. The coliseum is more gigantic than the past, many spectators and popular people, as well as other influential people came. Afterwards, I heard the familiar voice that covered the said concert and happily engaged to a Canadian businessman. She’s Charity Elumbra, the News Bureau Chief of ABS-CBN. The much awaited event is now starting. The two respected people caught my attention, Alyana Justin Dela Cruz, a famous model and also a dancer, and Mr. John Jacob Nudalo Balaba, Phd. the founder of De La Salle University in Davao City together with his business partners Mary Ann Licayan a Certified Public Accountant and Ms. Jessica Ortillano the newest owner of Davao Doctors Hospital. Along side with Mary Ann is the batch’s own named Erehe Band playing the chart topping hit “Kai”. This band is composed of the Lead Vocalist John Ric Agabon, a rich seaman; the Lead Guitarist Bernardo Claro, owner of a top banking corporation; the drummer Chester Juaneza, a Computer Engineer; Rhythm Guitarist Roy Corpuz, general manager of a famous amusement park in Davao, and a basketball superstar bassists, Raymond Salibay and Clinton Owe. As Erehe band pumped up the intensity of the reunion concert, a group of stunning ladies in the local and foreign Fashion Scene stars arrived. The Candy and Women’s Health Cover Girls Helen Mae Belermino senior supervisor of an I.T company, Sherlyn Mae Limas founder of famous cost player organization in the country, Chona Villahermosa a popular actress, Shila Mae Nable, and Carmina Dialang a senior consultant of a computer business in Davao. On the other hand, exquisite ramp models are Roselyn Loting, Michelle Joy Sale and Jugi Mae Abrigo. World renowned fashion stylist, Ms. Bernadel Mundo (Miss Universe 2017) and Mirra Tutanes a teacher in profession also attended the occasion. Guitar slamming fires up the second act composed by Richard Sanchez in vocals, Jonrey Pacheco in lead guitar, Dr. Rustlene Capuyan in bass, and Russel Zafra. The band made name during 2020 Myx Mo @ 20 Concert. As the audience cheers for the excellent music, certain faces from the field of sports cranked up the peoples delight. Here are Aljhon Nierves, Evan Barbarona, John Sandy Dela Cruz, Jayrald Paril, and Glenn John Butron, five of the mythical “cagers” of PBA. Leading the R.P swimming team, Carlito Pacana and Raymond Esperat, grace the occasion; UAAP women’s volleyball undefeated champs of DLSU-Manila Jennilyn Hondanero, Gene Osnan, and Janice Conahap; badminton star player and businesswoman, Easter Mae Besande and tennis world victor, Maela Calderon exhausted from their game in London, U.K; and taekwondo dynamic mistresses Jea Evangelista, a secret agent and Anna Mae Balani, a gold medallist during Summer Olympics 2024 held in Manila , Philippines and a well- known motor cross champion Earl Joemer Pandian, a police officer at the same time. Bringing up the good old days, Barkada Trips were brought by the regicide band. Once young, they are Cardiologist Dr. Lorna Tandog on vocals, Atty. Crisgen Abrigo on lead guitar, University of Mindanao electrical engineering graduate Engr. Rey Segura in drums, psychologist Dr. Jay Manzo in rhythm, and a Civil Engineer Arnel Rodripas on bass, performed lively. No wonder that the whole batch was sponsored by Mr. Gerry Liester Langit with his business companion Ms. Dionelyn Paraiso both CEO’s of SM group of companies. Mr. Robby June Dela Guerra, top executive of HERO T.V Network, President of BNY clothing company of the Philippines Ms. Julie Ann Puing and Director of the same clothing line Ms. Michelle Tonne Salinas, executive label manager of Warner Bros. Philippines Richard Puno and film producer Aljohn Galan. The clock struck 8:00 PM in the evening but MTV Pilipinas best new group breaking down, fronted by rock’in vocalist Ariel Dahuyla closed the red carpet. With Jordan Loberanes, Pinoy Big Brother Season 20 grand winner, opening after the party. It’s already 8:30 PM in the evening when ADDU Cum laude graduate and a big time businesswoman Jenny Layson, Mass Communication graduate John Michael Molina, AFP Generals Romualdo Dela Cruz Jr. And Ronald Cabug-os arrived from a traffic jam. Later all the guests and alumni’s were served with excellent food catered by Korea affiliated restaurant owned by Jomar Capuyan and also USec. of DILG. Performing in the stage the 2020 World Battle Ground Competition champs named the “Sweep” headed by Jacy Jay Degamon and Mary Jane Manulat together with their co-group members wherein the audiences intensified with their dynamite moves. Afterwards, the program master called for the top recording artist Jovanny Ortega, to perform his No. 1 hit song in the Philippines. Now, the new version of F4 are as follows, Rovi Emmanuel Abalde, Arthur Jutheo Monce, Raynond Doromal, and John Roy Ramis serenade the alumni with their heart melting remake of Boys Over Flowers. Asia’s pop singer and song writer, Jemielyn Ybanez, sweeps off their feet with her beautiful music. Successful personalities having their very happy conversation sharing their success are as follows, Hon. Raffy Odi, the elected mayor of Davao City, successful paediatrician Dr. John Mark Salazar, competent lawyer Marlon Bryan Dahan, firm secretary Aiza Balani, Ambassador of the Philippines in Australia Hon. Marvin Hadlocon, world tiger businessman Joey Maglasang, and International Entrepreneur Raymond Hontomin. During the course of the party, Ms. Jessica Paoline Armando Saguid the founder of the new Davao City University, with her trusted board of directors Noel Dumapias and Ernesto Aribal also launches their latest project Education Innovation for the Youth. This could help the advancement of the learning capabilities of the young generation regarding different operating systems of the world with the cooperation of I.T specialist Von Dave Angga which they showcase the awesome 3D effects. After launching the said plan, Angelito Esteban a Regional Director of the Dept. Of Education performed bartending in front of all the audience which he learned from our TLE class who got standing ovation. Chef Jovel Baclaan and Chef Apprillyn Luana were also introduced and were given an honor of being the champion in the World Cooking Challenge held in Oslo, Norway. On the other hand, the four honor guards, Lt. Dominador Jatico, Gen. Ramil Garcia, S/Supt. Arman Arguta and Gen. Jay Parson Ammad, escorted the coming of the former U.S.A Pres. Barrack Obama. After I roamed around, I saw Prof. John Keith Parejo with his well known actress girlfriend. The hosts also introduced Director Reginald Dayrit who won the Best Director award in the prestigious Academy Awards or The Oscar’s. Cannes Film Festival 2019, Best Actress Joan Ramoso and Best Actor Mark Gregory Terado, appeared in an indie film Directed by Archie Castanos. Lastly, the two hosts officially ended the concert and all the alumni had a happy spirits that they united again. I was very proud of what they are now. They made it successfully. However, in this one night, all that we had experienced for the past four years of our High School life became familiar fifteen years back. We have seen ourselves receiving diploma and we have said that our dreams will just be stories thrown away. Years after, the turning our dreams become reality. I Sheena Marie Gloria, once again the Manager of Justin Bieber and a well known writer, won Nobel Prize for Literature last March 8, 2025. I hope this prophecy will be fulfilled and will turn into reality. This will be our inspiration as we go along to the challenges of life. Tugbok National High School (Batch 2009-2010)
