Unwrapping the steel cord, and popping that fat ass cork out of the top leads to a tremendous, smokey explosion.. Pours a deep amber with an almost volcanic, sudsy foam, that lingers a long time. Mild on the nose. Not too boozy smelling at all. You can just tell the love that went into this ale. If it were a meal, it would be 5 star Chef cuisine. Tastes of heaven. Could easily chug this entire bottle down in no time. Immense, dense earthy flavour abound. Hard to pinpoint. An almost fresh baked hearthstone bread taste. Definite sweetness, and some nice dark caramel undertones floating around too. Has the aftertaste of a stroll through an Apple Orchard. With bright Honey Sun Spots. And a kiss of Citrus. I wish I had a cookie or something to go with this. If for no other reason, than to dry my palate to pour more of this wonderful ale down my throat faster. 10/10
