Classy Regional Wine Spots Wine Spectator released its 2014 Restaurant Awards list this morning. Four restaurants in the broader Lake Superior neighborhood made the list! Bellisio’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar in Duluth got its 15th award in a row, this year for Best Award of Excellence. The magazine touted as its strengths the restaurant’s selection of California and Italian wines. Farther north in Minnesota, both Burntside Lodge in Ely and Lutsen Resort Dining Room in Lutsen earned Award of Excellence status, both for selections of California wines. On Mackinac Island in Michigan, Salle à Manger in the Grand Hotel also got an Award of Excellence for its selection of wines from California and France.
