This one sort of made us stop, because something very real is on the line. Personally, I think the dad that wrote it has already given his son the best advice possible. But he asked us to ask you, so here it is: Hey Clay and Karen… I’m not going to get into too many details because I don’t want to embarrass my son. He’s a great guy in his mid-20s, and his wedding is next weekend. He’s been pretty even-tempered throughout the whole engagement/planning ordeal, but in the last few days he’s been (in his words) “starting to freak out”. He’s asked me if cold feet are normal or a sign that something is wrong. As his Dad, I’m glad he would come to me at this time and I told him that I’d be worried if he WASN’T giving this serious second thought. His fiance is a great girl but I said ‘only you can decide in your heart if this is the right decision’ and I reassured him that I would support him either way. I’m curious what you two and your “panel of experts” (listeners) think…does having cold feet mean a marriage is about to fail?”
