Clean Eating & Flexible Nutrition! This is the third of a series of posts... Teaching people the basics of CLEAN EATING. Keep your eyes on this page over the coming week... And if you have any friends looking to learn more... Please TAG THEM below... Or INVITE them to LIKE the page. _________________ If youve been following the previous posts... Youll have leaned that CLEAN EATING... Is aspiring to consume food... In its most NATURAL STATE possible. Foods move on a SPECTRUM... Of the most natural / least processed versions... On the LEFT (cleanest)... And the least natural / most processed versions... On the RIGHT (dirtiest). This doesnt mean eating RAW POTATO! It means faced with the following options... ...Raw Potato. Boiled Potato. Mash. Chips. Fries... Eating chips is a cleaner option than fries... Eating mash is a cleaner option than chips... Eating boiled pots is a cleaner option than mash. You dont have to eat raw potato! _______________ In much the same way as when buying a TV... Faced with CHEAP / REASONABLE / EXPENSIVE... You might go for the middle option... You dont have to buy the cheapest! But often buying the cheapest... Is a good option. Then again... Often buying the most expensive... Is a good option. The same is true of food... We call this FLEXIBLE NUTRITION. _______________ Clean Eating isnt about being a nutrition nazi... Living on the far left of the spectrum... Only eating raw, uncooked foods! Clean Eating is about making SMART CHOICES... Always aspiring to move further LEFT... Choosing the least processed options... Available to you at any time. But equally... Not being afraid to move to the RIGHT... Because sometimes in life... You have to prioritise EMOTIONAL VALUE... Over NUTRITIONAL VALUE. _______________ Imagine you go to a restaurant... You open up the menu... And you are faced with the following options... - Beef Burger & French Fries - Beef & Potato Stew - Steak & Boiled Potatoes Clean eating is about looking at the options... And asking... Which has been the LEAST PROCESSED? Which is closest to NATURAL STATE? _______________ First we have the Beef Burger & French Fries. Clearly a burger (moderately processed)... In a bun (highly processed)... Served with fries (highly processed)... Is going to be the DIRTIEST... Most processed option. Choose this option if youre happy... To see the contents of the meal... Find a new home... PADDING OUT YOUR ARSE. _______________ Next comes the Beef & Potato Stew. It contains no processed cereals... So it is made of NATURAL INGREDIENTS. But all the mashing, bashing and mixing... (which is food processing) Means were not looking at foods... Close to their NATURAL STATE anymore. Were looking at something mid-spectrum. So this is a great middle option... And far less likely to convert... TO UNWANTED ARSE. _______________ Finally we have the Steak & Boiled Potatoes. These foods are minimally processed... And very close to NATURAL STATE... Which means they find themselves... On the left of the spectrum. This is by far the CLEANEST option. Choose this if you are on a mission... To burn bodyfat... Get leaner... AND SHRINK YOUR BUTT. _______________ And so Rebels... Clean eating isnt about eating PERFECTLY. It is about making SMART CHOICES... Based on an understand of food processing... ...mashing, bashing, mixing, cooking... And its role in PALATABILITY and FAT GAIN. Minimally processed foods... Which find themselves on the left of the spectrum... Are the best options for FAT LOSS. Highly processed foods... Which find themselves on the right of the spectrum... Are the best options for ARSE ENLARGEMENT. _______________ Just because something comes with the label... Weight Watchers or Slimming World... Or even more recently... Paleo Doesnt mean it is immune from converting to FAT! A cookie, is a cookie, is a F**KING COOKIE... A highly processed, unnatural, DIRTY FOOD... That will live happily ever after on your ARSE...
