Clean water for people on the Peninsula Uzi Island, Zanzibar After having realized two successful PPP-Projects together with local authorities and the German Technical Cooperation GIZ on Pemba and Zanzibar, the German company Moerk Water Solutions now signed a contract for another important project with the Zanzibar Water Authority ZAWA. The construction for water desalination created by Moerk will be installed in July 2014 and will provide about 1200 people on Uzi Island with clean drinking water. The new installation not only ensures a complete and independent water supply, but is also driven only by solar energy, which makes it self-sufficient and sustainable as well. We are impressed!
