Cleaned up trail surfacing / reimplemented the water drainage from the top of Crop Circles to the Burnt Rock Bypass summit this afternoon. CC is better than expected - considering the terrain is basically clay, and the BR Bypass is surprisingly compacted compared to last year - despite heavy cattle traffic :-) Didnt get a chance to work on the Canyon Trail and switchbacks north of it back up to the service road... so if anyone has the inclination and a McLeod, those two sections would be worth a hike... The entire Campbell Classic loop looks to be completely good to go! This is the absolutely best time of the year for trail maintenance: no bugs, perfect soil to work and nice temps! A.
