Cleanse Teas - Skinny Teas- Weightloss Teas!!!! - MY VIEW! I have tried a few out of curiosity over the last couple of months - while Ive been researching and looking into different brands and their ingredients used, Ive learnt and heard a lot of disturbing stuff about Senna Leaf - if you are drinking anything with Senna in it - PLEASE STOP! - it is doing your body, bowels and digestive system more damage than any good at all… Senna should not be taken for long periods of time (if at all), it can cause sever cramps, diarrhoea , nausea, blood in urine and stools and it can even cause your Bowles to become dependant on it and not be able to function on their own, it can weaken your colon and overall just not worth the risk! You can achieve daily/morning bowel movements with good nutrition and exercise - dont rely on a laxative that you will then become reliant on and think thats the only thing working for you. I dont believe in fad products like teas that claim to make you loose weight, safely and in a healthy manner, these results can be achieved via healthy eating and exercise and will ultimately last longer and teach you valuable habits and behaviours. I do believe in a good healthy detox - which can be achieved with Juices, herbal teas (without laxatives) and water. Good ole green tea is just as good as anything - its just a matter of trying a few supermarket brands until you find one you like (Chanui Lemon is my fave!) you can always add more lemon or even a bit of honey if needed…. I also really like the OMGTEA below which i think tastes fantastic (Im a green tea drinker so i love the taste) - they have released an Acai berry flavour for those that are not a green tea fan, it contains all safe natural ingredients, vegan & gluten free, if you are going to head down the tea cleanse/detox path then at least you know this one is safe - check it out at omgtea.co.nz I also love T Leaf Tea as a great relaxing tea option before bed - their Restful blend is amazing as is their Tokyo Lime for an afternoon pick me up :) check their range out too at tleaft.co.nz Anyway thats my take on it! Eat Clean, Train regular, rest, relax and recovery, your body will naturally do what its suppose to do and will look and perform at its best Mak x
