Cleanses, detoxes and 30 day challenges are a waste of time and $$$$$ Let me save you all some time and money this New Year. Your body already has the best cleanse and detox known to man. Its called your LIVER. Simply drink plenty of water, get plenty of dietary fiber, and get plenty of micro nutrients (vitamins/minerals). Fiber acts as natures broom and 10-15 g per 1,000 calories is a good general recommendation. Fruits and veggies are packed with vitamins/minerals and a variety of 2-3 servings each is a good place to start. Staying properly hydrated is a must for overall health. Drink till you have at least 5 clear urinations daily. Being mindful of these few tips and adding them to your daily life will work wonders and save you a ton of $$$$$$$. 30 DAY CHALLENGES are a waist of time and will leave you disappointed in the long run. Any challenge or plan based on food restriction and avoidance is never a good idea. These types of plans throw balance completely out the window. Restricting and avoiding foods only promotes the idea of good and bad foods which is complete non sense because it is impossible to judge a food as good or bad without looking at the context of the overall diet a s a whole. These plans only promote a bad relationship with food and will leave you disappointed once the 30 days is over and you start to binge and over indulge on all the foods you couldnt have before. Any results you achieve will be short lived simply because the plan isnt maintainable long-term, its not by avoiding these things that you get results its the fact that by avoiding things youre consuming less calories, correlation not causation.
