Clear Cafe and the Embodiment of Exotic Love Facebook is asking me now, What are some of your favourite first moments? Ill tell you, one of my favourite first moments in Bali, in Ubud, was stumbling upon Clear Cafe. It was this beautiful and talented goddess from L.A. that took me there, after my first ever Past Life Regression session. I was super impressed with the place, falling in love at first sight with the architecture and interior design...Future Primitive style, with bamboo and wooden shack roof canopy, with big marble and Quartz walls, big thick tables mixing glass and stone, the lines were modernist mixing with a environmentally conscious and native aesthetic, making this a cool fashionable Post-Modern space. And it had so much soul, many many times since I would curiously ask the waitresses what music was playing in the background. Michael Franti is said to have helped out with the Music selection. The Food too was delicious and progressive, a menu with Vegan, Vegetarian and World Cuisine choices...sections for different kinds of smoothies, super healthy, super green, vegan smoothies, as well as your normal choices. Clear was the chosen place for me, if I needed to work on a poster. And I would spend the whole day there, sometimes 3 meals, to get a super well chanelled poster done. I would look for a place with the energy of spiritual and abundance, Heart and Mind. And this was how i fell in love with it, its Muse quality, exotic embodiment of conciously striving for good values, a sensitivity and sensibility coming from the heart...coupled with the abundance of material life, in itself an expression of a rich inner condition.... This is the place where modern Buddhas would come eat...and Feeeel good. So, this is my little spiell, Rest in Peace Clear Cafe. You inspired so many of us to become better people, you nurtured us with such sacred space in our countless meetings and safe comfy hang out times... your nourished our appetities for good food... May Brett the owner revive it like a Phoenix, from the ashes, a new space of love...
