Clear proof that discipline is in fact love. Our children cry out for boundaries and attention. To often we shy away from being a parent because we want to be our childs friend. We cheat them out of the most influential relationship they will ever have in their formative years. Too often we punish instead of discipline which leads the child to fear us. This is not what the bible directs us to do. We need to bring correction with love setting a clear standard versus reacting like a nuclear bomb when things happen. I know that this can be challenging but our children are worth it. When we mess it up, we repent and make it right then go forward.
