Clearly I must be a humorless grump. I saw the new Muppet movie today, and much of it was cute and funny-its the Muppets, after all! But some things seem to be exactly the same since I was a small girl *burp*ty years ago. The main villain is a frog with a Russian accent, since everyone in the entire country sounds exactly the same, of course. He escapes from the gulag in Siberia, where its always cold, dark, and snowing. The gulag is run by Tina Fey in an even worse accent and stereotype. That whole part was played for laughs, but its things like this that divide us, in my opinion. Im personally thankful for my patient friends while I learned more about Russia and got Rocky and Bullwinkle out of my brain. And its kind of an ouch!, given the state of relations and the mutual loathing between the Presidents. Or maybe Im in the wrong :
