Clearly the consultation has not worked at all, people have realized that they are being presented with piece meal development plans, using out of date plans and inaccurate maps. The general consensus amongst those who attended the consultation and the remarks on Facebook is that the development cannot be considered fairly. The concerned are frustrated because they are being asked to comment on something that seems to be very much a finger in the air exercise at the moment. The consultations events are not working. The Facebook page soared in new likes following the last consultation. For example where will the roads link up. The consultant suggested that eventually all the roads will join up and yet no maps or plans or show this information. There is no representation of the plans for Lynnsport 1 & 2 . Residents could easily be misled by their omission thinking these two will survive. They are not seeing the full impact of the development If you want to remove such a large public space full and accurate plans need to honestly presented. There is too much suspicion and mistrust. IF the Council are reading this page may I suggest That the development is suspended for now. The council meets with the people around a table to discuss openly The council draws up a new revised plan for the whole site and then restart the consultation. The concerns of the people is that you are creating a massive housing estate and a road that will create environmental issues. I would also like to extend an invitation the Cllr Beales please come and meet the people, lets sit around a table and discuss it. You never know there might be a compromise but if we dont talk no one will ever know?
