Clearly the police were out numbered here, they usually feel more comfortable with a straight out ratio of two to one as a minimum; three to one preferably. Personally, Id be a little taken back to see a child treated like that by his parents. Its hard to know exactly what the kid did in the first place?!? But what justifies the police actions? Given and age between 7-14, the actions would have only served to cement resentment against and fear of the police. There is a right way and a wrong way; is this right? Please someone tell me about the Australian Constitution. We can be thankful it wasnt in America, as the kid may have been shot for perhaps sticking a finger or two towards the sky as the police drove by!
