Clementine is 9 weeks old. She had an accident, getting tangled up in something that pinched her back hips very tightly last night, and lost her ability to use her hind legs. She now moves them but cannot stand on them or even use them to sit up for very long. She is staying at the vet where she will complete a round of steroid injections early tomorrow morning. She is eating and drinking and going potty just fine. She is in good spirits and barks at the vet staff whenever they stop playing with her. She has not lost feeling in her legs and responds when you squeeze them. Her X-rays look great but it is likely hat she has inflammation due to trying to wiggle lose. We are very hopeful that some severe inflammation is causing her brain to temporarily be unable to tell her legs to do what they are supposed to do and that we will slowly see some more improvement. Please, please, please send your thoughts and prayers. We have visited twice already and are trying to be cautiously optimistic that she will make a full recovery. We have no guarantees so we are going to keep on following doctors orders and hoping for the best.
