Cleveland Animal Control Volunteers contacted Rachelle Zold to ask - TopicsExpress

Cleveland Animal Control Volunteers contacted Rachelle Zold to ask her to help with finding Sam and Besse a home. This was super urgent as they were to die on Friday at 5pm and we were contacted on Friday morning. We dropped everything and rushed to help, calling in favors, asking for help, making new contacts and connections. We found a temp foster for both, two different rescues to take them in, long term fosters for both in WI AND a transport. We submitted our paperwork on Monday to pull immediately. We still have not received word that we have been "approved" but our foster was instructed to go get the dogs for another rescue which has apparently been in the works this entire time. The temporary foster was asked specifically to NOT TELL US THESE DOGS ALREADY HAD RESCUE. Many other dogs died this week because we wasted our time and resources attempting to save two wonderful dogs who were already safe. I will not assist this group again, which is sad for the animals that end up in their facility. However, my time and energy must go to saving dogs that can be saved, not wasted for sport.
