Cliched as it may sound, the Dodgers lack the kind of team cohesion that makes the Giants great. On paper they look good, but when you look at them on the field .. the cocky arrogance of Puig .. Hanley Ramirez with his back pocket flap out .. the image is one of a bunch of individuals waiting for the camera to turn their way, Even their classier players like Kershaw tend to shine when individual accomplishments are most relevant ( ie regular season. ) This is what they don’t get .. you can have all the money in the world and still lack what it takes to win championships. Not that the Giants don’t spend money. But is it merely a coincidence that guys like Uribe and Wilson never won anything besides the division with the Dodgers. They may sign Sandoval or he may go to the Red Sox or Yankees. But he’ll never be with a group that gets as much as they do out of what they’ve got than the Giants. Have to think a certain six-five left hander from Hickory NC will be on Kershaw’s mind when he accepts that Cy Young this week. I just read this on a dodger chat board and it made my day!
