Click, Click, Bang, Swoosh. Here is an unconventional use for gear, Use it to make music. Photographer Benjamin Von Wong along with composer Andrew Kesler and a small army of Nikonians used a small heap of Nikon gear found at Nikon Professional Services Canada to create some sweet music. The gear in question involves A Nikon D800E, Nikon D4, D700, D7100, D7000, D800, D3, D5200 (Bronze), D600, SB-900…, An Elinchrom Ranger Quadra Li-Ion Kit and a D3s dropped to the floor to make a banging sound. Total cost of gear used: Over $30,000. The idea was to use each camera’s unique shutter sound along with some of the beeps and blips coming from other gear to compose a short clip, By experimenting with the custom ‘CL-continuous low’ settings, Wong and Kesler set the series of cameras to 1, 2 and 3 FPS, For staggered shutter releases. Utilizing the various functions such as command dials, beeps from buttons.
