I was also able to inform the house about the use of Coalfield Regeneration Fund money in Clipstone, Ollerton, Edwinstowe and Calverton. I spoke about the lack of investment in infrastructure and the skills gap that has been left in our communities and how we can help to remedy that. Thoresby as many of you will know already is a very fluid issue and I am still desperately trying to seek a resolution so that the Colliery may remain operational for as long as possible. As the only MP in the chamber during that debate who still has a working Colliery in their constituency it was a sad debate for me but I try and remain positive and work behind the scenes for the workers and the community to try and find a solution for the pit.
