Clif Koons Marquette Le Pew Fight Night with the Pacman: So, while - TopicsExpress

Clif Koons Marquette Le Pew Fight Night with the Pacman: So, while I dont believe that this Manny/Algieri fight was the best fight that could be made, heres my prediction none the less. The short answer??? Manny all the way, possibly by knockout in 6. Theres levels to this! Algieri seems like a good boxer, but just as I do not believe that its wise to go from a high school freshman, to an ivy league university; I do not believe Algieri knows enough from fighting in ballrooms and a couple times on ESPN, to handle what Manny is going to bring. The kid has 8 knockouts out of 20 fights against nobodies. Hes never fought above 140. He has good footwork but I havent seen how fast he truly is. Now... Manny seems to have his speed and power back. Freddie had him cutting off the ring and countering the jab, then slipping out to the right. If Manny can execute this tonight, Algieris done in a couple rounds, tops. If not, then Algieri has a chance just because he is the boxer in this fight. I just havent seen enough from this kid that would make me believe hes ready for the big league. Plus his chin is suspect. Lets not forget that it was a right hook from the southpaw stance by someone who likely hits less hard than Manny, who knocked Algieri out in an unsanctioned kickboxing match. Plus, Ruslan swelled his tender eye shut with one punch in Everlast Powerlock gloves. Manny wears Reyes. Nuff said... If Algieri boxes, he has a chance. If he makes a mistake, Algieri loses big. I liked how Algieri was training to jab while moving his head off the center-line. Thatll come in handy tonight. https://youtube/watch?v=_s6V-T5LS0g
