Climate change brings highs winds and precip. A dependence on - TopicsExpress

Climate change brings highs winds and precip. A dependence on fossil fuels brings tankers through narrow straits beside sensitive ecological systems. The two should not mix (duh), but its happening and its scary. Our water, and the many forms of food it sustains, is at risk. And not just on the oceanfront. There is fracking in northern British Columbia and our unsuspecting rivers and soils sit vulnerable and unprotected from the process. The main point is, if we cant sustain ourselves off the land for the long term, eventually we will have to depend on them. The fluctuations of the climate are due to changes stimulated by a system that had decided what is best for us. We have advanced, thousands are commuting the world right this second, but these decisions have also brought drought, disease, and potential environmental disaster. When will enough be enough? When will the collective love for Mother Earth be big enough that we hero up, and embrace the quest to save her like the princess she is? You see, the day that we are not able to naturally provide ourselves with food is the day we begin to die as a self-sufficient species. As warmer temperatures creep north and waters are contaminated by greed and trees die and climates adapt, the government will dictate how we are fed with economic tactics and tariffs and control of distribution. And when they hold the upper hand that feeds, we will be more reluctant to bite than ever. I normally send rants like this strictly through private messaging, but maybe its something everyone should see sometime... so if you are awake and still reading, thank you. Please do not go back to sleep. Lets save the princess.
