Clint Stoneham, Lee Nash, Im mostly curious at this stage, but Im looking at cams for my NEO engine. I want to know what gains I can have with a set of cams. It looks like most of the Tomei Cams are for top end power output. Im hoping to fatten up the low end torque curve. The engine is mostly stock and I dont plan on going wild with it. It will probably retain a stock turbo honestly. I just want to shift the torque lower and gain a little top end power. Is there a cam you guys know of that would help me out. Im fairly uneducated on aftermarket cams for the RB and there is so little good information out there on even the popular tomei cams other than a lift and duration spec(which is almost useless). I know Clint has mentioned he only messed with a few cams and they were for his drag car so that may not be super helpful, but I tagged you anyway. What do you guys have to say on the subject? Its had to justify dropping $500-600 on cams and not getting what you want out of them... when L-series cams are $100 for a regrind, but nobody can be trusted to regrind stock RB cams... The tomei cams boast a drop in and run deal, but what about shims?
