Clint Strozier, a personal friend of mine, was one of the greatest - TopicsExpress

Clint Strozier, a personal friend of mine, was one of the greatest athletes ever to come out of Ventura County. He played both football and basketball in the early 70s at Oxnard High School, later focusing solely on football. He went on to play football at USC, becoming a starting defensive back for the Trojans for two seasons for legendary USC coach John McKay. He played alongside some greats, including the late Ricky Bell, Vince Evans, Dennis Thurman, Dennis Smith, former Raider Super Bowl hero Rod Martin, Hall of Famer (and father of current Green Bay Packer) Clay Matthews and former New England Patriot (again, RIP) Mosi Tatupu. Clint was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings back in the day when they were consistent Super Bowl contenders...a team which had great defensive backs. Unfortunately, he didnt make the final cut.
