Clinton, SC - Formerly of Warwick, NY David (Gant) Wygant of Clinton, SC, formerly of Warwick, NY, retired from Yellow Freight of Maybrook, NY and retired Correctional Officer for SCDC Tyger River prison, entered into rest on July 18, 2013 with the love of his family by his side. He was 46 years old. The son of Robert A. and Theresa M. Wygant, he was born at 3:15 p.m. on March 15, 1967. Survivors include his wife and high school sweetheart, Patti Wygant; parents: Bob and Theresa Wygant; daughter, Meagan M. Wygant; daughter, Jacqueline D. and husband, Josh Batey; grandson, Jessie Lee, all of Salem, MO; son, Cody Steward of Otisville, NY; Uncle Bill and Aunt Fran Wygant of Warwick, NY, Uncle Larry and Aunt Sue Call of Riverview, FL, Uncle George and Aunt Marie Morgan of New Milford, NY, Uncle Frank of Slate Hill, NY, Uncle Garry and Aunt Deb of Bloomingburg, NY; sister- in-law, Denise Pawlak of Warwick; brother-in-law, Henry and wife, Trudy Pawlak of Middletown, NY; sister-in-law, Marie Pawlak of Warwick, NY; sister-in-law, Ebony and Ron Ponte of Indiana; father-in-law, Bill Harden of Indiana, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, David P. Wygant, Jr.; brother, Bobby Wygant; Uncle John and Aunt Pudge Call, Uncle Harry Call, Uncle Joe and Aunt Sheila Call, Aunt Cathy Call; mother-in-law, Maryann (Pinky) Pawlak; father-in-law, Larry (Grizzly) Pawlak. David was a life member of Scoresby Hook and Ladder 26 of Ellenville, NY. He wrote a blog for WFN Fishing Network and is an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper who loved and respected anything outdoors. He loved camping, jet-skiing, Roses, Nascar, Redskins, learning about the stars, using his telescope, making crafts and cooking. He was a big man with an even larger heart. He was quiet and reserved, loved to laugh and joke. His favorite saying was "life is too short to be this hard." A Memorial Service will be held on August 3rd, at 1 p.m. at the Fantinekill Cemetery, Rt. 209, Ellenville, NY and followed by a gathering at the Scoresby Hook and Ladder 26 in Ellenville, NY. His Southern Memorial will be held at the Penocostal Church of Lydia mills Proceeded by Pastor Tony Irby
