Clipper update! Well I wish I could tell you with more certainty - TopicsExpress

Clipper update! Well I wish I could tell you with more certainty what is going to happen tomorrow. Honestly I have never seen so many weather sites with such differing forecasts! So, we will start with what we know. LOL Though it is still freezing cold out, the Extreme Cold Warnings for NB are over. The low for tonight is -24 with a windchill of -31. However, SNOWFALL WARNINGS for Saint John County, Fundy Park and Moncton are still in place, EC calling for 15-20 cm of snow tomorrow. Kings County has no warning in effect but EC is calling for about 10-15 cm of snow. Personally, I do not expect it to warm up as much as previously expected so what precipitation we get will likely drop as snow. Tomorrows high is only expected to be -4 now. I expect the snow will begin as flurries after 4 AM. As far as how much? It really depends on the tracking and the speed of that clipper. There certainly is a lot of snow in that clipper. I still have a hard time believing if there is an area of heavy snow here, it wont be as narrow as what it shows on the warning map below. NS has no warnings as of yet. If I am up during the night, I will post updated radar tracking. We have folks committed to update school cancellations in the morning so check here when you get up. Please post road conditions when you can do it safely. Thanks.
