Clips from a Womens Assault Prevention Course I teach. These particular clips are from a course in 1999. This was class one of four and each class is 2 hours in duration covering theory, practice and application. I have cut out the rougher language used for public viewing but keep in mind, this is not meant to be an easy or a polite course...its meant to be as real as possible. This is a glimpse of what takes place. I believe all women should go through a course like this. It teaches you not only practical self defense skills but also focuses on how to defuse a situation hopefully before it ever becomes violent by using, mental pre-framing, body language, voice projection and neutral but ready hand positioning. The course builds in intensity with each session leading to the grand finale when the Dynamic Simulation Test occurs. Not all women who start the course complete it, some find its too scary and choose not to go on. Those that do complete it notice a difference in themselves and are grateful to have stuck it out. As far as me teaching the course...its one of the greatest things Ive done to serve women. The last session is the hardest for me. First off I need to be and am a total a-hole towards the participants because thats how the assailant on the street will most likely be (its got to be real). Not to mention that even wearing all the padding plus two towels wrapped around my neck (to protect my throat) and two groin protectors...I STILL FEEL THEIR STRIKES due to the adrenaline serge participants experience that makes them much stronger than usual. Sometimes it takes a few days to a week to recover after the final session, but its all worth it! - Sifu Terry Hodgkinson You can find out more about the course here: innerouteryou/product/womens-assault-prevention-course #AssaultPrevention, #SelfDefense, #StreetProofing, #SifuTerryHodgkinson #WanderingNinja
