Clone Wars, the animated Star Wars-series, is turning into a bad choice for my bedtime series of choice. The bedtime series has to be interesting enough to divert my attention, not interesting enough to make me watch episode after episode. This is the prequel to the Star Wars movies of the 70s and 80s - Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker, studly young Jedi knight and protege of youngish Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Droids are battling the Clones to determine the fate of the Republic. Its a bit too military friendly for my tastes, but I could live with that. The biggest problem, circa season three of the series, is its so damn boring. Theres too much action taking place in the Senate, and a lot of the stuff going on now is characters arguing about whether they should stay in the Republic or join the Separatists. The animation has improved, some of the action scenes are pretty exciting, but overall the story continues to leave me cold.
